Bike Transalp, le classifiche dopo la tappa Pellizzano-Roncone

Roncone - La Transalp è nel segno di Debertolis-Jaikel, a segno anche a Roncone (Trento). Nella tappa tra la Valle di Sole e Valle del Chiese grande gare anche di Hochenwarter e Brenes, sul podio (nella foto il podio a Roncone).

La coppia Massimo Debertolis e Dax Jaikel ha compiuto un altro fondamentale passo verso il successo finale alla Bike Transalp, la gara a coppie di sette giorni che si concluderà domani ad Arco, dove puntano a salire sul podio nella categoria assoluta anche gli altri due portacolori della Wilier Force 7C Uwe Hochenwarter e Gregory Brenes, che hanno centrato un buon terzo posto di tappa e sono terzi anche nella classifica generale.

Debertolis e Jaikel hanno conquistato la quinta affermazione consecutiva, primi tra i master nella impegnativa frazione di 79,45 chilometri e 2805 metri di dislivello disegnata tra Pellizzano (Val di Sole) e Roncone (Valle del Chiese), con i suggestivi passaggi a Passo Campo Carlo Magno, nel cuore delle Dolomiti di Brenta, dal lago di Valagola e dalla Val d’Algone, a precedere il tratto conclusivo verso il traguardo.

Al pari di quanto accaduto giovedì, l’ex iridato marathon e il costaricano hanno duellato con gli altoatesini Thomas Piazza e Viktor Paris, per poi avvantaggiarsi nella fase cruciale della tappa e chiudere in solitaria sulla linea d’arrivo a Roncone dopo 4h03’27” di gara. Piazza e Paris hanno pagato un ritardo di 1’41”, mentre sul terzo gradino del podio (a 4’54”) è salita la coppia slovacca composta da Jan Halik e Karel Hartl, che ha comunque conservato la seconda posizione nella classifica generale master. Debertolis e Jaikel ora puntano a completare l’opera nella frazione conclusiva, la Roncone-Arco di domani, forti di un vantaggio di oltre 29 minuti sui primi inseguitori. Qualora dovessero farcela, i due biker della Wilier Force 7C riuscirebbero a iscrivere per il secondo anno consecutivo il loro nome nell’albo d’oro della manifestazione.

Obiettivo podio, invece, per Uwe Hochenwarter e Gregory Brenes, che a Roncone hanno tagliato il traguardo in terza posizione nella gara maschile assoluta dopo aver battagliato con i dominatori delle ultime quattro tappe, lo svizzero Urs Huber e il tedesco Simon Stiebjahn, e con i leader della classifica generale Markus Kaufmann e Jochen Kaß. Huber e Stiebjahn sono riusciti a imporsi per il quarto giorno consecutivo, precedendo di 50” Kaufmann e Kaß (le due coppie ora sono separate da appena 1’06”) e di 1’18” Hochenwarter e Brenes, che hanno rafforzato il loro terzo posto nella generale staccando di 3’11” i diretti concorrenti Roel Paulissen e Mattia Longa, quarti a Roncone. Nell'ultima tappa, l’austriaco e il costaricano potranno amministrare un vantaggio di poco superiore ai 6 minuti.

Si è comportato egregiamente anche il ligure Marco Rebagliati, che ha corso in appoggio ai compagni di squadra e, assieme a Johnathan Carballo, ha conquistato un ottimo sesto posto, piazzamento occupato anche nella classifica generale. Decima e undicesima piazza, infine, per Mejia-Rincon e Wohlgemuth-Perez, mentre Tony Longo e Johnny Cattaneo - che nelle ultime tre tappe avevano centrato altrettanti secondi posti - hanno dovuto alzare bandiera bianca: il trentino e il bergamasco hanno dovuto fare i conti con una foratura che ha fatto perdere loro tempo e terreno prezioso. A quel punto, hanno preferito risparmiare la gamba e puntare a un risultato di prestigio nella frazione conclusiva di domani, la Roncone-Arco di 60,41 chilometri e 2309 metri di dislivello.
