Il Giro di Lombardia primo Monumento per il team Decathlon CMA CGM e Paul Seixas

"It's incredible, I can't realize yet. The team did an amazing job. Everyone pushed more than they had to. I trained hard to arrive here in good shape. I had great sensations at the start, and I told myself it could be a great day. I managed to make the difference at the moment I wanted to, setting a high pace right from the foot of the Civiglio climb, then managing my effort really well on the steepest section. At the top, the gap was good but not big enough to think about victory, so I rode the best time trial I could all the way to the finish. It was just me against myself, it was crazy. I started to believe at the top of the final climb, taking care not to make any mistakes. It's indescribable, like a dream.
I'm going to take the time to take in what we've done."

Key figure: 1905

The youngest rider on the start line of the 2026 Il Lombardia, Paul Seixas is also the race's youngest winner since 1905.

A first Monument for DECATHLON CMA CGM Team and Paul Seixas

After making the difference on the Civiglio climb, Paul Seixas continued alone over the closing kilometres of the Race of the Falling Leaves to take the win. Already second at Liège-Bastogne-Liège earlier in the season, at 20 years old he claims the first Monument of his career at the Tour of Lombardy. It is also the first Monument in the team’s history.
